The entrance door of No.5 is made of wood and rather old fashioned but not antique. There are no windows in it. It is painted chocolate brown and has a brass number five in the middle and a brass doorknob. Not quite in the middle is a letter slot. Brass, of course. Two stone steps lead up to it. The door itself is in good shape. On the left side on the wall is a lamp made of brass and glass, also in an oldfashioned style but also in good shape, though the panes could be cleaned again. To the right and to the left are two huge windows with flower beds beneath.

The front is dominated by the afore mentioned large windows on either side of the door. Their frames are painted in the same brown as the door. Above them, on the second floor is a row of three windows. It is a two storey plastered brick building, painted in a dark but still sunny yellow. The paint on the walls is not as new as the paint on the door, which hasn´t been painted recently either. If you get really close you can see it´s weather- worn. Beneath the lamp you find the doorbell, brass, of course and a brass name plate. There is no porch, just the two steps and the flower beds. Behind the flower beds you can see small windows with black frames. They belong to the basement. On the right side of the building is the garage which has been turned into a workshop to repair bikes. Over time this workshop has been extended at the back and further to the right is a fenced off area. A sign above the garage door says "Bike Repair". This side of the building is somewhat cluttered up, you can see bikes in all states of repair, some with price tags. The left side is more tidy. The lawn looks healthier and you can go to the back of the building from there.

The front garden is a mere lawn. It is more or less kept short and not very neat. The right side is pretty worn out due to people walking over it a lot and dragging their bikes along. The left side looks a bit better. In the middle is a huge blue flower pot. White alyssum and white carnation grow hapharzadly in it. The flower beds under the window are in an equal state, though more colourful. It seems someone both colorblind and crazy chose them as the mix is just wild. All kinds of colours, sizes and shapes are represented. The flowers in front of one of the cellar windows on the right side are pushed down as if someone stepped on them. On the left side you can see part of a wooden fence and a small gate.

It is a one storey plastered brick building, painted yellow. The left side is fenced off. The right side has a garage attached which was turned into a workshop and was enhanced at a later point. Attached to the garage is an ugly metal fence with some bikes in it. The rooftiles are brown and somewhat mossy. Windows were added at all four sides of the roof. The windowframes of the groundfloor, the first floor and the roof are made of wood. The windowframes of the cellar windows are older and made of metal. You can see colorful hangings and potted plants as well as the usual knickknack on the windowsills, except for the cellar. Though it is not exactly neat, you can see that the house is well cared for.

First there´s a man. He looks young, given the casual clothes and relaxed attitude, but if you look closer you can see he´s going gray. This stands out because his hair colour is a dark, almost black, brown. He´s about 6 ft and wiry though broad shouldered. And there´s the faintest hint of a tummy. His eyes are brown. Then there is a woman about the same age. She´s smaller, around 5 ft7. She has long reddish brown hair, obviously dyed and tied in a pony tail. Her eyes are a greenish brown. Her clothes are colourful and hippiesque. She also seems to be younger than her actual age. She´s slender but not skinny. Another inhabitant is a young woman, about 20. She has short black hair styled in a sort of DA and one streak is dyed in poison green. Her clothes are casual and not the usual attire for women: cargo shorts a neckholder top and sneakers. She´s very slim and taller than the woman, but not as tall as the man who is quite obviously her father. She has the same brown eyes, the black hair and the same facial features. Then there are two boys about the age of sixteen. Actually they´re twins, though not identical. One is tall, wiry with short shaggy black hair. He´s wearing faded grey jeans, a white shirt, black boots and has several earrings. His eyes are brown, too. The other is a bit smaller but sturdier in built. His hair is the same black but a tad bit longer and tousled, and he has the greenish brown eyes of his mother. His clothes are black. Black jeans, a black t-shirt with a white skull print and black Chucks. He has no earrings but several wristbands. If you compare them to their parents it is hard to say who they resemble more as each seems to be a unique 50/50 mix of their parents features. Then there´s another girl, around fourteen. She has curly dark brown hair and is about her mothers size and built and also resembles her closely. She wears blue jeans, a blue and white striped t-shirt and green Chucks. On her shoulder sits a white albino rat. To round things out, there´s a small black kitten.

The room is the living room. It is a huge room dominated by large windows and the patio door on one side, leading to the garden, and wooden slide doors at the other side. At the rear wall, left to the door is a huge brown leather sofa, studded with blankets and pillows. Posters of Jimi Hendrix, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division and Depeche Mode cover the walls. On the window sills are potted plants, african and indian statues, colorful glass objects, varying candle holders and two amethyst geodes all covered in dust. The hangings are white. On the right side is a fireplace. On the mantelpiece are more candle holders and lot´s of photo´s showing the family and a group photo showing the much younger father with some other guys at the beach. It is safe to say they are his best friends. There´s also a photo of the mother in her twenties and another woman her age. On the right side is an expensive looking stereo with an equally expensive dolby surround system. Scattered on the floor are Cd´s, Tapes and Records along with music magazines and seat cushions. There are several amplifiers, accoustic and electric guitars as well as two bass guitars. There are also some dirty dishes, glasses, mugs, some used napkins and cutlery lying around or balanced on the sofas armrest. A green hoody lies crumbled on the floor. From the ceiling hangs a chandelier and there´s a scratcher for the cat. The windows haven´t been cleaned for quite a while.

Task 8: Want list The Chara is torn between the desire to explore, to understand, to learn about that, which is not openly talked about and the safety of not knowing. To stay blissfully ignorant although deep down inside, this Chara knows that it´s already to late for that. She is aware that this desire will put her in a special position and when she made that move she will never be able to go back and pretend nothing has ever happened. But she also knows that others before her made their choicce. These people now encourage her to find her way and no matter which decision she makes they will support her.
