The front door of number 13a Mellow Lane is one of those huge doors with a giant silver knob right in the centre of the door. The door itself is made of dark stained poplar with an elegant white pattern carved into it, startig at the knob. There are no windows in the door; the door is brandnew. A metal plate in form of a dragon's head is attached to it on eye level. The dragon's open maw bares its sharp fangs and his long red tongue, on which the imprinted word 'welcome' seems rather misplaced. The small halfround porch is made of sand-lime bricks.

The house is a two-story building made of sand-lime bricks with long, narrow anthracite windows -eight of which can bee seen on the front side- and a black roof. One can see that the house is pretty new and must have been finished only a month or two ago. At first sight the house looks very neat and accurate, a bit square even; but if one takes a closer look, it seems to have some sort of oddness to it. The small halfround sand-lime porch is merely a single step encircling the door. One cannot see a doorbell on either side of the door or the door itself; but on the right hand side of the door - a bit beneath shoulder-level- a metal plate with a smooth and silvery surface has been installed.

The house is built in second row to number 13, so it has a long, accurately drawn driveway, consisting of huge anthracite concrete bricks. There is a lot of sand around the house, the grass has only been sown a fortnight ago. On each side of the driveway, just before the actual frontyard starts, a small birch has been planted recently. Where the driveway connects with Mellow Lane, the owners have set up a medium white-laquered stone with a black metal numer "13a" attached to it.

As the door opens inwardly, two slender pitch black irish wolfhounds -both about 90cm tall at the withers- delicately prance outside to lie down on the newly-sown grass.
After them a young woman in her early- to mid-twenties steps outside, shielding her eyes from the sun. She is approximately 1,78m tall and has shoulders a bit too broad for her otherwise rather skinny figure. One can still see the remains of defined muscles along her arms and legs -she must have worked out quite a lot in the past. But she has apparently not been to training these days and months- she is obviously pregnant in her last trimester, probably with twins. Her skin is very pale, her face is heavily painted, although she seems to have a natural beauty to her. She has big, slightly almond-shaped eyes of a dark emerald green with a few golden speckles in the centre. These eyes are appealing, but they also seem too old for a woman her age. She wears her thick and long black hair in a plaited braid on the back of her head that nearly reaches her calves; yet on the right side of her head the hair is trimmed to a side-cut and the stubbles are dyed ruby red. Her ears and nose are pierced and she has a "Hell-o Kitty" skull tattoo on her chest. One can see her belly shining through her thin black tank-top. She also wears a red velvet skirt with black flower embroidery that ends mid-thigh and she is barefoot.
The last inhabitant to step out is a man in his late seventies. One can see that he used to be a tall and muscular man, but he seems to have shrunken and with his left hand he leans heavily on a crooked poplar staff with a silver knob shaped like a dragon. In his right hand he carries a large thick antique leather-bound book. He is dark-skinned but seems to have turned an unhealthy greyish colour, especially around his eyes and his fingers. His eyes are narrow and look pitch black, but that might be due to his squinting and sinister gaze. He wears his grey hair and moustache shortly trimmed and gives an altogether accurate impression. The man wears an expensive anthracite made-to-measure suit with the silver chain of a fob watch visible outside his waistcoat pocket, a pair of black patent leather shoes and a white Borsalino with a black hatband.

The room on the first floor in the back of the house is rather huge compared to the rest of the rooms and is closed by a massive poplar wood door with a pattern carved into it, quite similar to the one on the front door. The floor is made of elegant anthracite polished marble and the high white ceiling is ornamented with stucco. In the middle of the ceiling is a round stucco ornament from which a extravagant cristal chandelier hangs down into the room. There are three narrow top to bottom windows in this room, one on the left side and two in the back (facing the backyard), but only the window on the left is uncovered at the moment whereas the other two are closed by the massive anthracite velvet curtains. There is a great white baroque style fireplace in the wall on the right and infront of it there are two large black leather armchairs and a white baroque style side table. On the wall above the fireplace hangs a black ornamental dragon's head with ruby red eyes. Except for the windows and the fireplace all of the walls are covered with enormous anthracite poplar wood bookshelves, packed with all sorts of books. Some of the shelves are closed with glass doors; the books behind these glass doors look very old, antique even. In the left corner of the room stands a massive dark stained oaken escritoire with several drawers. The only things on the surface of the escritoire are a white desk light and a paper knife with a dragon-shaped handle. On the wall behind the escritoire is another closed velvet curtain, but this curtain doesn't seem to cover a window. There is no decoration in this room except for the dragon's head; also the room is very clean and even seems rather steril.
